Just imagine, for a moment, that you are from an underprivileged background and you are offered a spot in this programme, and you are called a star. I met these children, and they were remarkable. They did individual presentations to us (quite intimidating, I'm sure!) about how this programme gave them a new dream and a new life. Alumni from the programme came and spoke – some from very well-known companies. But the biggest impact on me was a father who stood up and talked about what it meant for his young son (who was there in the room listening to his father) to have an opportunity he himself had not had. It was emotional and beautiful and brought tears to my eyes.
