Engineering his dreams into reality

Prabhat’s journey with Abhyudaya began in 2012, and he fondly recalls Hastantaran.

“Every year, we were assigned different mentors. During my time at Abhyudaya, I had four mentors. Each of them shared their knowledge and experience with me, but the one I connected with the most was my first mentor, Sujeet Nadkarni.”

The son of a plumber and a homemaker, Prabhat was a very shy child. He participated in all the activities and events – English, chess, drawing, football, computer classes, and the Diwali and summer camps.

These helped him overcome his shyness. During his SSC exams, Abhyudaya provided him with a study room and a healthy environment. Prabhat scored 86%, and with Abhyudaya’s guidance, he chose to pursue a diploma and degree in civil engineering. While completing his degree, he worked as a site engineer for Soham Consulting. However, the lockdown forced Prabhat to leave his job. He graduated in 2021 and decided to start his own business.

He opened a clothing shop, Shree Mens Wear, in Kolhapur. In 2023, he partnered with his uncle to open a new kids’ wear shop.

“I am preparing for competitive exams in civil engineering and MPSC. I feel blessed and fortunate to be a part of Abhyudaya. I will be forever grateful.”
